Project Description
The dragon bucket is a magical game asset guarded by a dragon & to access the treasure you have to befriend the dragon.
As I started to do the concept art for the dragon, I researched the copyright laws associated with it and found that the cultural and mythological element predates modern copyright laws. Therefore, if I create a unique and original dragon design, I will own the copyright to that design. Therefore I tried to maintain the dragon’s facial uniqueness, cautious of any unintentional resemblance to Mulan’s dragon character.
I created the grey box of the asset to make sculpting easier and faster, then sculpted the bucket and added details to the dragon.
Once I was happy with how it looked, I created the materials for each element of the design within substance.
I introduced a mythical music track that added an enchanting atmosphere and applied a sparkling overlay on the coins and treasure, which gives the gold an almost magical allure.
